Walt ain't a liberal Dem.

I have no idea of Walt's true beliefs but I will just say this really doesn't mean much.

For example, the current Governor of Louisiana, John Bel Edwards, made this case to republicans that wanted to get away from David Vitter to make them feel more comfortable about pulling the lever against him. In fact, he shouted what a moderate to conservative blue dog democrat he was and went all in on how he loves guns and hated abortion.

As soon as he was sworn in, he stabbed those republicans in the back and has only governed as a classic tax and spend liberal democrat that has raised taxes a shite ton, scared economic capital away from this state, killed a lot of jobs with his taxes and lawsuits against oil and gas, put a shite ton of people on the dole with growing the state government and putting us on the hook for a medicaid expansion that will crush the state budget.

This would've been completely obvious to those republicans if they just looked at his voting record in the statehouse and it was one of the most full blown progressive liberal to ever exist in BR. But they all lost their minds over Vitter and the rest is history.

If a democrat is talking about how moderate and conservative he is, odds are pretty damn good that he's lying.

Walt has a really good record to run on. Yeah, politicians say anything. I know nothing of the gov of Louisiana so I wont speak on him.

But, Walt's record in Tuscaloosa is really good. He has to run as an independent here, but folks know he is a Dem. But, he has had support of the business community here & other groups not really known for supporting Dems.

I do know the state GOP with Bentley & Hubbard & Strange has left a bad taste in a lot of people's mouths here. Walt is the only Dem that can get the support to win. Will he? Don't know. Can he? He certainly can. It will be a huge deal when he announces...and he is not that far off from doing so.
