Perhaps it was a different car than usual?
Maybe he had North Korea on the brain?
Or it could be possible that he'd been told the deboarding plans would be different, and something changed at the last minute, unbeknownst to him?

It looks like the guy didn't initially open the car door for him, which I assume they usually do
