Women's tennis was awesome in the 90's.

Difficult to watch in the 80s because it was Everet and Nav all the time.

Men's tennis - 80s best period for all around talent. Mac, Borg, Connors, Boom Boom, Lendl, Edberg, Cash, Wilander, Agassi, Sampras (ppl forget they played in the late 80s).

During 1988, Agassi set the open-era record for most consecutive victories by a male teenager (a record that stood for 17 years until Rafael Nadal broke it in 2005). His year-end ranking was world no. 3, behind second-ranked Ivan Lendl and top-ranked Mats Wilander.

Women's - 90s for all around talent. Graf, Seles, Hingis, Sabatini, Novatana, etc.

I'd go with women's tennis. They draw good crowds and have had some very recognizable names over the years.
