Yours sounds more muscular than spine itself. That's good.
They've already gotten mentioned sort of , but....
1. Not too many pillows. Anymore than one pillow is too much for you. Research and find a good pillow for you.
2. Posture at home and work. Are necks/heads are ALWAYS forward. ALWAYS.
3. Google Mackenzie Neck Therapies. You said you had a PT friend or family member. They probably already know his as my understanding is its just a mode of PT therapy.
