Nolan Ryan is overrated. He was good for a long time but never elite. Check his stats. He was great at strike outs when he was on but a lot of times he was very hittable.

his stats show that he is the MLB career leader in fewest hits allowed per 9 innings at 6.6. I wouldn't call that very hittable. He led the majors in that stat 12 times as well. His win/loss record is what it is because of where he played. But yes, he did walk a lot of people and threw a lot of wild pitches
