I remember college basketball in the 80's and you were watching - just NBA stars - and you had them for 3-4 years but they were in college...and not the NBA...and the game was like a mini-NBA...you had Ewing for 4 years...you could follow a team and know the players were going to be mostly the same year after year.

That will never happen again.

Oh and more people watch the Little League World Series than the College World Series...fact.

And almost all the audience has no rooting interest in most teams...Midwest, West, East...they only root at the end.

The deal is...there is no global story about college baseball - it has no non-alum interest whatsoever.

It's water polo.

Die-hard fans of a school or alums are the only ones who care because it has no outside appeal as a sporting entertainment event.

Most people would rather watch Beach volleyball NCAA female finals.
