What about when the home plate umpire screams "BOOM" for an out on a play at the plate. Like it was a dam slow pitch softball game.

On a bang-bang play this happens way more often than you know. More out of the sheer excitement of a big situation and the umpire knowing he got it right. It is tougher than you think to say "he's out" when you are reading the throw/tag/slide and analyzing that info quickly. So you just say what comes to your mind first, and since your body is essentially throwing a punch, it just comes natural to say "boom!"

Was it not OSU/LSU game 1 when an OSU runner slid into 2nd, 1 foot into bag, other foot contacting defender on RF side of the bag that went uncalled? Even that should have been called interference by the rule. I remember a lot of wipe out slides @ the SEC tourney 6 - 8 years ago and a lot of coaches pushing for uniform rules for player safety.

My biggest gripe with the umps was strike zone. To LH batters some continually called strikes on pitches over the inner chalk line of the RH box which never came close to crossing the front outside corner. That shite happened over and over and was a joke, especially from where the ump was setting up. Whatevs, the team with the best quality pitching depth won, Tigers pushed them hard until the end.
