No one is going to agree with that, but the prospect of a President Kamala Harris and a Democrat controlled Congress, writing a Single Payer plan, should scare the bejesus out of Republicans to get something done.

Dems want BCRA to pass so they can do this.
I doubt Kamala runs though. But hickenlooper would definitely pass that.

actually they can't even pass single payer in california.
“Even senators who voted for SB 562 noted there are potentially fatal flaws in the bill,” he said in a statement issued late Friday afternoon, “including the fact it does not address many serious issues, such as financing, delivery of care, cost controls or the realities of needed action by the Trump administration and voters to make SB 562 a genuine piece of legislation.
“In light of this, I have decided SB 562 will remain in the Assembly Rules Committee until further notice.”

seems it would cost as much as the entire california current budget
A new study by the California State Senate shows that single payer health care would cost more than the entire current state budget.
The annual price tag for single payer health care in the Golden State would be a whopping $400 billion.
The total amount of money allocated for the California state budget for the coming fiscal year is $179.5 billion
TILT!
