I said the same thing last week and got blasted for it. If Florida won on Friday this board would be going nuts right now that it's not fair Faedo would be able to pitch game one.
I don't think anyone would have said that was unfair. It would suck, but had they won, they took care of business and LSU didn't.
They also had a day less rest. They played
Sunday-Tuesday-Friday-Saturday
LSU played
Saturday-Monday-Wednesday-Friday-Saturday
If they'd have played the Saturday and pitched Faedo Friday, they could have won Friday and still had Faedo back Wednesday same as Lange.

Appreciate the responses. The issue I have boils down to not what is fair or not fair - our current format gives each team a four-team bracket and one days rest. You go undefeated in your bracket and get more rest because of it - that's the format you play in.
The real issue I have is if we're going to have a true series, lets go good on good. 1's vs 1's and so forth. I guess the better question would be: what would you rather see: A three-game series with each teams 1-2-3 (if necessary) fully rested or the scenario of tonight's match-up? If you answer is 1-2-3 rested, then the questions becomes, why haven't we gone to this and what can be done to improve upon the current format.
