One of the problems I've had with mine is the hole in the grease channel will sometimes cause grease to miss the drip tray, mostly while cleaning. Bought this from amazon and has worked well since. drip tray extension

Is there a mod for a bigger grease catcher? Not so much for the grease but for the water when cleaning it.
