It wrong when the vast majority of the citizens do not want a Hotel in their city. Noone elected Shelton on the platform of "We gonna build a fricking hotel in the middle of your goddammed bedroom community so I can get rich and all my developer biddies who contributed to my campaign can get paid SON"
We fricking voted for him so he would use the tax revenue to provide services for the city.
The only reason we became a city in the first place was the have a school district. That is really it. If you gave Central the chance to be a ISD without incorporating we would have done it without a second thought tbh,.

So if Holiday Inn Express wanted to build a unit at the Corner of Sullivan and Greenwell Springs people would be opposed?

You'd like to think a small hotel would add to the tax base; thus lowering taxes for others there in Central.
