We don't know when he was shot. We don't know the place in the complex he was shot. Until we know more details, we can wait to indict the cops on forums. They won't be indicted anyehrrr else.

Apparently the news articles are all over the place. One I found said the kid was the owner and had tied the dog up...but the dog broke free. Others are saying the dog belonged to a neighbor.

Another indicated the kid came from around the building 40 feet away, while others are saying he (the kid)was throwing himself across the body of the dog to protect it.

I'm not sure what y'alls beef is with each other, but every single shooting has to be taken a single event, and not all lumped together to prove or disprove a point.

All the cops are not getting together and deciding to hold open season on the public. Some cops are good, and there are some bad cops. I try to put myself in the place of the cop and the victim to see what they were thinking at the time. Did the cop have a reason to believe he might be in danger? Would I have pulled my weapon if I were in that situation? Did the victim do what every reasonable person should do?

I have seen women make an argument that a woman dressed scantily and in a bar getting drunk should not be raped. They are correct. They should not be. However, you increase you chances of it if you dress provocatively and put yourself in a dangerous situation.

Same for cops/victims. Should the victim not be shot? Probably not. But if you have a weapon and you are moving around inside a car...or if throw yourself across a dog that is charging LEOs after one has already been bitten bad things might happen.

Should the kid have been killed? No. Does it surprise me under those circumstances? No.
