Don't really feel like Medieval Times unless you convince me otherwise. Will be staying in Arlington. Upset that Traildust Inn has closed down. Looking at maybe Spaghetti Warehouse.

Eno's (Bishop Arts pizza spot with great beer; far South West Dallas so not a crazy drive from Arlington)
State & Allen (Uptown)
Fireside Pies (Knox / Henderson)
The Porch (Knox / Henderson)
Goodfriend (White Rock burgers)
Any Tex-Mex

Magic Time Machine
I went there about 20 years ago when I was a kid and loved it. I don't remember anything about the food, however, which is probably subpar. But all of the servers in costumes and the fact that you could eat in a rocket ship, school bus, boat, etc. was awesome as a kid.
ETA: it may be a bit of a pain in the arse though if you are staying in Arlington.

Check out The Lot just south of white rock lake. Absolutely better than all of the above. It's one of the hidden gems in dallas. Just don't tell too many people! Also get their early.

Magic Time Machine is a good one
Rainforest Cafe in Grapevine
Babes Chicken- There is a new one in Arlington. Family friendly country place and my kids love it. Family style home cooking and set menu with community tables.
Chicken Stratch is also a good one right off 30 in west Dallas. It has an open area with concrete to draw on and sand pits for kids. Also great craft beer and down home cooking.

I second Babe's chicken Dinner House and chicken scratch. Pretty cool spot and the food is solid. Also Goodfriend Beer Garden and Burger House. The truck yard is good too if you have kids that want different things.
