I have seen more guys bench 315 than I have seen guys squat over 400 or deadlift over 450.
Interestingly, when I've seen people post their PRs on the OT they tend to be closer to those numbers on squat and deadlift yet ~250 on bench.
I'm the other way around as I've always been very good at bench press. However, I never worked with a strength coach and avoided squats and deadlifts for years out of fear of injury. This year I committed myself to deep squats and am already getting close to passing up my bench totals.

This is really common. So many people skip those lifts for the same reason. Truth be told, the dead is dangerous if you don't educate yourself beforehand, but it's such an important lift imo.
