Yep.
ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPN3, ESPNU, The SEC Network, The Big 10 Network, The ACC Network, The Longhorn Network, NBC, ABC, FOX, FS1, FS2...
all thanks to them, I can sit my arse at home, by my bathroom and drink my beer and not smell hot farts and cotton candy. I do not have to park in criminals' yards and I can still have a great time.
Once upon a time, one went to Giamonco's or The pasttime the night before and watched no Friday night college football on television and got major geared up because Keith Jackson and Frank Broyles were in town to do the game of the week...one of maybe 5 games on TV the whole weekend. There used to be something awesome about going to a live game that would exclusively be televised. Later Franklin/Gottfried/Big Adrian would come in and same thing. If you didn't get to go to the game, you got to watch and so did most of the country. Now? I can watch Slippery Rock and Hofstra play on ESPN3.
Will we get those days back? Hard to say. I doubt it.
