I admire your patience w/ all the steps you went through to get some brass.
I bought a 300/221 (AKA 300 Whisper, ballistic twin to the Blackout) many years ago when JD Jones of SSK Industries first brought out the Whisper. I've used some Whsper and 221 Fireball brass that was converted from 223 Rem. I wasn't impressed w/ the quality or accuracy. If it were me, I'd buy some actual 300 BO brass and compare the accuracy w/ your converted brass. You can always convert 221 Rem Fireball (the parent cartridge for the Whisper and BO) by expanding the neck and full length resizing. That would be much easier than what you're having to do. Unfortunately, Rem hasn't made any Fireball brass in a couple years. Nosler and Lapua make very good quality Fireball brass, but it's kinda expensive.
Good luck and keep us updated.

I'm just plinking with these. Really not terrible concerned with accuracy as I only have a 1-4 power scope on this rifle and an 8.5" barrel. This one is a load the gun, give to my son or daughter let them unload it, load another mag, had it over, load another... You get the point.
Plus, I can pick up buckets of .223/5.56 at my club. Not so much with 221 fireball.

Do you not anneal the cases when you resize them?
I have not bothered with annealing. So far I have not had any issues with the brass cracking.
I just lube them up really good prior to resizing. They amount that it's sizing isn't very much so I don't worry about it.
