Half and half eh? That just seems a bit off to me. To each their own I guess. But with polygamist it is a religious thing - something about producing the most offspring for god.

I've seen where their beliefs require them to adequately prepare for their family, to produce enough money to take care of them... but it seems that in reality it ends up being just a another welfare family (or two or three).
