Thinking about taking the fam up there to see a concert. Know nothing about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Going to the Amp? Not alot to do. Crystal Bridges is a cool art museum in Bentonville, neighbor city. Devil's Den state park is about an hour south. Beaver Lake is about 30 minutes east
As far as where to stay, you can stay anywhere in the area, Fayetteville\Springdale\Rogers\Bentonville, as they are all connected and easily accessible

What age family? Is anyone into mountain biking? The AMP is in a really commercial chain-ridden area.
Downtown Rogers is about 10 minutes form the AMP and a lot of fun and has a really high quality brewery in Ozark Brewing Company.
As close as Downtown Rogers, and about 10 minutes away in Bentonville is Crystal Bridges, a world-class art museum, and the current Chihuly exhibit is probably going to be their most popular to date (I've seen it. It's awesome,... and I've seen plenty of other Chihuly exhibits). Downtown Bentovnille is as close to you as actual downtown Rogers from the AMP, and it's also a lot of fun.
If anyone is into mountain biking, Rogers has the Railyard, which is a great dirt jump/downhill/flow park with legit trails located behind it. You're surrounded by about 100 miles of trails in that area, so lots of great stuff to do if anyone is into riding.

Isn't it close to the nuclear plant?

That's in Russellville, about 2-3 hours South
