Larry Bird's arguably the greatest player of the 80s, for 9 of the 10 seasons he was the best player on one of the most successful franchises that decade, 3-time world champion. He doesn't miss basically all of 1989, who knows what his legacy that decade would've been? Magic's great but he wasn't even the best player on the Lakers for the first half that decade, Kareem "The Captain" was then Magic supplanted him in 87.

Wow... Magic is the 2nd best player ever.... showtime does not work without magic.....
