In your opinion, how much falls on the coach vs. the players?

If it were a one time thing, I'd put it more on the players. But, it's certainly a trend with his teams, so I think more has to be put on Paul. As much as he should get credit for his success, and he should, he has to bear the brunt of blame for his teams laying eggs. I say that because I think a lot of it is a team mentality, either a lack of focus, lack of killer instinct, or simply thinking the uniform will win it for them.

It might just be what baseball is now. You had 2 #4 seeds advance last weekend. But, last Friday looked so much like a midweek game in terms of focus, I gotta give Paul more of the blame than the players.

ETA: You can generally see a drastic difference in the way we play in Hoover vs the way we play after Hoover. Arguably, the competition is WAY better in Hoover, which only fuels our expectations, and perhaps his teams' sense of "entitlement(?)".

I saw something during one of Paul's interviews this year where he talked about how relaxed they are when they're in Hoover. Maybe it's not a sense of entitlement, and just nerves/tightening up. I don't know, but it's too consistent to say it's not a trait of a CPM team.
