Damn, how the frick did either survive that?
As for whether she was trying to save him or not it's tough to say, but if she was, she definitely wasn't trying an effective method by getting between him and the car. That's still a ton of metal that's going to bear down on him even if she is in the way.
Would have been better to have tried to push him out of the car's way, but she clearly wasn't trying to grab him.

I don't think she was trying to save him either, but anyone who could process information that fast and overcome the shock of the situation would be insane.There's not many people who could be composed enough to think of pushing the kid out of the way in that short of a time. The youtube comments in the video are sickening.
