It's ok to hate them. I can't stand them and remember those last weekend series in the 90's being epic. No love loss for certain.
Those that don't show an opponent respect because of who they are don't understand the game. If it wasn't for Ron Polk and MSU, would the SEC be where it is? I don't think so. I was there I the late 60's and 70's.
Yes Skip took it to the next level, no doubt, but without Polk starting it would LSU even hir d Skip.

To this day, I contend Bob Broadhead was the best AD LSU ever had.

Really going out on a limb there... The only one that comes close is Skip and even he is not that close.

Hard to talk about SEC baseball history without LSU/MSU.
To me this is a classic SEC Super Regional match up.
You can't ask for a better SEC matchup.
