It's funny you say that as I've always compared the Pels to an NFL team. Anthony Davis to me is like Calvin Johnson. Obviously superior to everyone else in every single way. Any organization or fan would kill to have him on their team. But how much of an impact can he really have?

I feel the center position is like an offensive line. It's still important. It really is. And a good O-line can be impactful. But without a QB or defense, it's fairly inconsequential.

PG is very much the QB of the NBA. The teams go as the PG's go. Steph Curry and Lebron are Brady and Peyton right now. I've always considered Jrue to be like Matt Stanford ish. Couple of injuries ruining whole seasons. You see the talent, but the results just aren't really there.

And the wings are the defense. And defense wins championships as they say. We have an average QB and no defense. Add questionable coaching and that makes for a bad basketball team, even with a good Oline and flashy WR.

Yeah-- it's a hard comparison to make perfectly because there are 22 starters as compared to 5

But the point remains--- bigs can only have so much impact right now and it will be this way until they push the three point line back to 25 or more feet. Which they should do BTW.

Look at the final four teams left this year. Maybe one good traditional big (Love) among them and he has become a massive defensive liability in the Finals

It's great that the Pels have two elite bigs. But I might rather have one elite perimeter guy. I think a roster with Harden and 11 average players would win more than a roster with AD/Boogie and 10 average players in this new NBA

Giving him way too much credit. He's more of a Ryan Tannehil.
