I am not sure about the Dixie boats but the Robert was started in 2010 and the Jill in 2012.
Both the Robert and the Jill mobilized up the Atlantic Seaboard this past summer to assist installation of the nations first offshore wind turbines. Montco worked those babied like well-oiled machines.
Local assest from Weeks marine tried to perform the previous summer with moored barges, but couldn't get it done. They were replaced by Montco from the GOM. No problems.

Can those things ever generate enough power to negate the cost of installation?

And who built the Montco liftboats and the offshore wind turbines?
Weeks tried to install the jackets and bent two legs. GIF had to go to New Jersey and Rhode Island to repair them. That tuna steak with the orange glaze on top was on point.
