You suggesting that those killed by US drone strikes are akin to those killed by a stray bullet is absurd. Would police be justified in blowing up an entire apartment complex because one or two criminals are inside? Of course not, that would be murder, regardless if they only intended to kill the two bad guys.

And read up on Assange's Wikileaks cables. In targeted drone strikes, our government classifies all males killed between certain ages as being terrorists or enemy combatants. They did this to obfuscate the actual number of innocent civilians killed. That is not the action of someone who merely fired a stray bullet. It is a conspiracy to hide the truth.

You know I never said that. But under your moral formulation they are equal.

You seem to think I'm trying to distinguish one as morally good and one as morally bad....that is not the case. I don't think the droning is morally good for numerous reasons However, our efforts in the ME with regard to flying robot assassination, is less morally bad than calculated political murder where the intent is to kill innocents, less bad than blowing up an apartment building filled with your own innocent civilians then blame it on Chechen terrorists to aid your election so you can hide the theft of your cronies! While we are not saints, we aren't the demons in Russia.
