Teams don't buy and sell enough. Play five years ahead, and you'll see that squads are mostly the same outside of a shuffling of star players and maybe the purchase of a high potential player or two. And certain teams just buy up star strikers without any semblance of a strategy. The money is fixed, but teams stockpile. Look at the transfer budgets of open jobs in the Premier League after three or four seasons. Everton and Southampton have like $185 million.
Yup the big money clubs just load up on talent.
United always has like 5 elite strikers. Usually Lukaku, Kane, Griezmann, Rashford and someone else.
Juve is always stupid deep in midfield
City is another club that loads up at striker. Esp PEA always ends up there. Then they hold on to players like Nacho who never play but want 25 million for them.
Bayern always end up with Sanchez and Aguero.
Spurs seems to always end up with Sturridge and Origi.
Liverpool end up dropping 60 million pounds each on like 4 or 5 random super stars that don't fit into the team.
The transfer strategy in 17 made no fricking sense. But if you kept an eye on players, getting them on free transfers was insanely easy.
