For starters, those aren't brown widows. They are extremely rare. Unless you squash them they won't bite you.
As I stated in an earlier thread; people need to calm the frick down about spiders and snakes (and possums). All three kill shite that cause humans problems. Anyone here know anyone who has been f'ed by either three of the aforementioned critters?? I bet not. But mosquitoes?? Yep Rats and mice?? Yep. Roaches?? Yep.
Unless it's a black widow leave it alone. If you see a snake; walk away - I swear it's not going to hunt you down. Chances are it's a king snake or a rat snake. The more good snakes you kill; the more bad snakes and rodents you'll have.

ETA all black spiders aren't black widows. They are very distinctive - they look like black patent leather (shiny - no "hair") and their legs are distinctly jointed and very pointed at the ends. They make very ugly, trashy, ghetto webs.

ETAA Bats - bats get a bad rap because in 1964 one person contracted rabies from a bat. Bats eat a shite ton of mosquitoes. I have several bat houses.

The pics are blurry but that monster clearly has the orange mark on the abdomen. Let it crawl on your face if you think it's so harmless.

WTF are you talking about? All 4 are 100% Brown Widows. You can clearly see the hourglass on 3 of them. The third pic is a bad pic, but I could see the hourglass on that one as well.
As far as "walking away," I don't needlessly kill anything (other than wasps, because frick wasps). I catch venomous snakes for fun. These Brown Widows set up shop under my window sills constantly. My little dog loves to hunt frogs and geckos, so every night he scours my back patio looking for stuff. I'm not going to have him walking through Brown Widow webs and getting bitten.
