Trading him isn't impossible. In fact, they think a trade is at least as likely as a stretch as we speak today

There are multiple contracts now that are even worse and if Jrue re-signs, he is far more likely to get traded than stretched unless he agrees to a number below what he is owed.

If Jrue doesn't re-sign, stretching Asik is probably a 50/50 proposition at that point

Of all the different options we've kicked around to add another guard I think I like Asik for Wesley Matthews the best. It turns dead money into useful money, adds a 2 way player, is a short term deal, and adds a starter without burning an asset other than cap space that doesn't matter if they operate over the cap.

Are you suggesting we package Jrue with Asik or trade one bad contract for another (or something else entirely)?
