Not really since it's basically a Brexit in name only for people who wanted Brexit in order to accomplish a specific policy goal (bankers who wanted London to deregulate, EDL types who want to keep the wogs out). A soft Brexit is mostly symbolic. They'd even still have to make EU budget payments.

Ultimately it's an indication that the UK didn't think things through but doesn't want to admit it.
