But they still want Brexit, they have made that clear in their statements.

The more interesting aspect is their bright red line opposition to gay marriage. They say they will never compromise on it. That is in direct conflict with the Conservative party, much more so than Brexit.

Yes but Theresa May wanted a hard Brexit. That's why "the immediate effect will be nil" is retarded. Negotiations start next week and now the EU knows that the Tories are depending on support from a party for whom a physical border is a red line.
