You're making statements and said NO competiton.

Go look at ratings in specific cities and there is competition. You're not smart enough to get my point so whatever.

I blew your argument out of the water and you're still arguing. Take your lumps and go home. I gave you a specific city that had two teams playing on the same night.

Will this get you to exit the thread and just have a beer and enjoy the games?

Pittsburgh had higher ratings for the NBA finals than Stanley cup finals

quote:

Pittsburgh doesn’t have an NBA team, but more people in the area are watching the NBA Finals than the Stanley Cup final. Television ratings in the Pittsburgh area showed the first three games of the NBA Finals between Cleveland and Golden State easily outdrew the Stanley Cup of Tampa Bay and Chicago. True, Game 3 and 4 of the Stanley Cup were on a cable station (NBC Sports Network), but even when the games were on NBC, they had lower ratings than the NBA Finals. The average Pittsburgh area ratings for the first two Stanley Cup games on NBC (WPXI) were 4.6 and 3.8. The area ratings for Game 2 and 3 of the NBA on ABC (WTAE) were 5.5 and 6.19. The average rating for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup on NBC Sports Network was 1.97.
