I had a few years ago. Got me a paycheck owed to me by an old company and got me out of a speeding ticket. I think it's worth it.

You get what you pay for with lawyers. If you try to do it on the cheap it can bite you. My dad recently made a nice fee unsnarling a revocable trust that was badly written by an online legal service.
