That still doesn't make it a bold prediction. Pats going 12-4 or 13-3 would be par for the course for them. No one would be shocked.

If the public perception is that the Pats are far better than the 2nd best team in the league, wouldn't that be a bold prediction after all? To lose 3 or more games?

Jameis Winston is mvp
Bucs lose in SB to Pittsburgh

Continues the NFC South dominance and ending in a ball of fire to a 3rd different AFC team.

Flash forward to December. The Pats wrap up a 13-3 season. Is ANYONE shocked? In disbelief? Is their even an article on how the season was a "failure" because they lost more than 2 games?

Just because you talked to some buddies in a bar who told you they think the pats will steam roll everyone, doesn't mean that 13-3 would be a surprising result. Going 14-2 or better is EXTEMELY rare. It's the anomaly.

they play all the other division champs, right?. So they will have some close ones. 3 losses is not crazy. Oakland might beat them. One loss on the road. It could happen. Brady stubs his toe. Jimmy g comes back to earth. 14-2.
