I think Moscona has said all along that, if the team can get to 19 or 20 wins, then the midweek games won't matter. That has been his mantra pretty much from day one of the season.

Which would be wrong. If we were at 19 wins, we lost the west and would be squarely outside the seeding bubble looking in with our only real hop that Kentucky goes 0-2 and we win the SECT to even have a chance and that likely wouldn't be enough. However, if we got to 19 with 4 more midweek wins, our RPI would still be close enough to KUs where outplaying them by so much in Hoover may make a difference. It would also matter how we lost those 2 extra games. 2 to State or 1 to state and 1 to Auburn? Winning both serious would still look really good.
