The features offered on the Ford in the lower trims are too good to pass up. 4.30 rear end, electronic locker, live PTO (which I would never need), diesel driveline behind gas motor, gooseneck ready off the showroom floor, upfitter switches with open spots in the fuse box, very good towing mirrors, solid axle up front. I'm not a fan of the aluminum body. GM still has a very good offering and between the two I'd probably just get whatever one I got the best deal on. I most definitely would give the Ford place a chance at my business though for their current offering.

I'll say this my work truck is a 2015 2500 HD Chevy 4wd with the 6.0 and while drive train has been solid the truck otherwise has been a pile of shite. The interior is terrible. Instrument setup has broken. The fricking radio display is fricked up. God help us if they disconnect the battery well never be able to set stations again. So disappointed. It is just so fricking cheap.

Our fords at work their interiors are vastly superior. At least at the base ends we buy.

It seems like the classic 07s were the last years of Chevy's interior dominance. After that ford has won the day

diesel driveline behind gas motor,

I read that you need a certain level of GVWR (10K I think) to get the real HD trans with the gas engine.
