The Gardens of the Moon - the first book in the Malazan Book of the Fallen series.
Honestly, I'm trudging through it. I'm only 1/4 of the way in and everyone says that it takes a little while to get going. I'm going to keep pushing through.

On the first read of this I almost quit multiple times. It is slow and confusing as hell. I kept thinking that I had started on the wrong book.
He writes like you you should already know shite that you have no way of knowing.

Awful crap. Everyone talks about how intricate and dense it is. It's just boring and incomprehensible.
