Net could hit a golf ball to Ponchatrain Blvd or Mid-city from my house, but in Metairie.
What stopped me from buying in New Orleans was the problems that everyone complains about. I was planning on doing it in a year or so anyway, and just renting out my current house. My parents were also planning on buying the house in Lakeview my sister rents, and getting another place for my younger sister uptown when she moves back from college. None of those are happening now out of disgust for the city.
It's an amazing city in many regards. This whole debacle pushed me over the top, and I have no desire to support anything about it now.
