These are so boring (to me) compared to the original series. We're three movies in and we're still at the very start of the ape culture.
In the original trilogy, we'd already introduced the ape culture, sent two spaceships into the future and one into the past, battled underground mutants, and brought Zira and Cornelius back in time to jump-start the intelligent ape race.

Are they just trying to get the series to where the original Planet of the Apes takes over (Heston version)? I know they referenced the Taylor mission in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

I liked the first one and I thought the second one was one of the best movies in 2014. I'm excited for this and if it's good, it will only increase my excitement for the future of Batman.
