well he's off my list. Golf is still enjoyable to me shooting what I shoot. I've learned to just enjoy the outdoors and hanging out with guys when I play. Never will i ever spend more that 65 dollars on lessons. I will just accept that I am bad at golf. maybe once in a blue moon i will have a good round.

or if you want to get serious Robert Merrill.
This - make the investment and do it. The videos that Robert and the guy from Shreveport and Georgia produce are fricking legit.
Athletic Motion Golf - they saved my golf game last year when I was trying to play again. Simple approach that gets results.
I can fully endorse the AMG videos and their in person lessons.

But how much is that stuff going to cost. People are already paying upwards of $45 per round, a lot of money for accessories and clubs, and if they want to get lessons, they are going to pay north of $150/lesson? i get that it's got technology involved, but damn that's expensive.

Merrill is around $250/hour I believe.

My story may be different. I played good golf for a long period of time. Then I got married, had kids, got sick, took my career seriously. Once all that happened, my golf time was gone and my skills eroded.
Last year when I was trying to score well again a close golf friend saw my struggles and recommended the Shreveport athletic motion guy. A few lessons and watching the videos has paid huge dividends for me.
I score well again if my arthritis is not flared up and hurting. And I give Webb, Merrill and the AMG team credit for that.
Sure, they may be more, but it only took a few lessons to have me striking the ball like a player again.

what were your scores before marriage when you were good, vs when your skills eroded?

I would hover around a 5 - could strike the ball - did not practice putting and chipping enough.
My biggest issue is that I got sick - arthritis hit me hard - was not until a rheumatologist took over my primary care that I had a good quality of life again - and could play 18. But my game was deteriorating prior to that due to lack of play and practice time.
If my arthritis is under control I'll post low to mid 80s - if I am having pain, I can easily WD or hit triple digits.

wow that sucks man. There is nothing worse than not being able to enjoy things because the body doesn't play nice.

Chris Popp is the motherfrickin GOAT. Went to him as a kid, need to hit him up again. $160/hr is kinda steep, but he kicks arse
Cliff is good too. Great guys

Anybody know how much cliff is. I can't see paying 160-250 dollars an hour for lessons. No more than 100 dollars an hour makes sense. I'd like to spend around 400-500 dollars total for the first initial set of lessons.
