I've had times where someone would tell me something and I would pick apart what was said by inferring something else that wasn't said in order to create an entirely different meaning to their original statement. It is simply an argumentative way of digging for a crack in the narrative.
The WaPo, however, has taken this tactic to another level beyond the boundaries of civility and decorum. It's plain to see that there is an agenda, not to reach the truth, but to purposefully fan the flames of distrust and sow seeds of anarchy among those who so often follow blindly the rantings of the leftist media. If they continue, they place at risk the freedoms of the press to freely report as surely as shouting 'Fire!" in a crowded theater will create a stampede, as is against the law. They may think they are invincible and bullet-proof, but at some point, their acts may be construed as sedition and then what? They will have created a constitutional crisis all because they enjoy poking their finger in the eye of the nation.
