re: Older folks: What do you remember about the Cold War?

"Duck and cover" type educational films from the 50s & 60s were a staple in public schools through the 70s & into the 80s, as were the drills. My friends and I did a super 8 spoof film where after a nuclear strike, the only survivors were the kids who did the duck and cover move in the hallways of school - wish I still had a copy of that middle school humor greatness.
