re: anybody here ever live on a houseboat or sailboat long term?

I did for a year.

Pros - cheaper (rent)/utilties covered, doesn't require many furnishings, easy to clean.
Cons - it can get cramped at times, privacy issues, hardly any natural light in the bedroom, you're limited on what you can cook.
