I thought that draft was strong at the time. Brendan Rodgers is going to be a star. Thought he was easily the #1 player in the draft. Dansby, Bregman, Allard(even with injury), Benintendi, Tucker, Aiken, and Bickford were all big time prospects in my opinion. It didnt have the depth that other drafts have, and a lot of questionable players were taken high(Tate, Jay, Fulmer), but I still thought the top was damn good. Much better than 2016 imo.

I regress though. He was still taken #1. McKay might be the favorite for #1 this year, and most think of him as a 1B, not a pitcher.

There arent as many high upside college guys since teams have gotten to see them for 3 years in college, and are older, but there are a few guys that come around that seriously can be that #1 pick(Bryant, Longoria, Alex Gordon). They arent as common. Beer is one of them imo.
