the angel way would give you more flow/ volume as long as the downspouts can handle it. The wedges have the advantage of not being in contact with the facia, which stops moisture from being help, slowing wood rot.

I was kind of worried about the weight of the water being too much (over time) for the one without wedges, basically not having enough support.
