So I get downvoted four times for pointing out that a hard drive does not change weight because it weighs as much as it is going to fresh out the box? The only thing that really changes is the magnetization that "forms" the data. Some "tech" board.

No clue what this is.


HDD is hard disk drive, OS is operating system (i.e. Windows), SSD is solid state drive.

I would disconnect the hard drive, then turn the laptop on and go into the bios setup. If the noise is gone, it's likely the hard drive.
