Except for the fact in the "last" one, chronologically it's the first one....And you can't see if he has the ball yet. No one doubts he touched the bag at some point, we are doubtful he stayed in contact when the throw pulled him off.

Changed those pics around and you have proof positive he wasn't on the bag.

Question being, when did he have the ball in possession

You're over thinking this. The shadow gap isn't covered up until after the runner has touched the bag. It doesn't matter when the ball makes it into his glove since the argument and call was that the 1st basemen pulled off the bag. The only exception would be of course if he caught it and then pulled off, but I don't think this was ever in debate.

Wrong.
The last pic is in order---the first baseman moves his foot back to the bag after the catch.
