why do programs like tcu not have to fall back to the pathetic "national seed" excuse? why can they make better claims?

Ok, humor me, what years did LSU not deserve to be a top 8 seed?
And by that same logic, do you think Coastal Carolina was the best team last season, what about Fresno State in 2008?
ETA: And as for the as of late comment, you think last season was a bad job by Mainieri?
