Houston puts him in a better role having him take a lot more 3's and less midrange shots, but otherwise he is pretty much the same player. Advanced stats bear that out. Not to say he hasn't been a good player for you all as Morey/D'Antoni had a much better plan to use his talents and the training/medical staff has done a great job.

This is one case where stats don't tell the whole story. Gordon is taking more difficult shots by design in Houston and putting up similar percentages.

He's being tasked with more in Houston volume-wise. He's taking step-back 3's off the dribble and is taking deep 3's from 25-29 feet.

If he just spotted up at the line he could shoot 45% from 3. But the Rockets want him to let even the difficult shots fly because they win with volume.
