Allergy shots can be helpful for the "right" person.

Obviously, you need to get started with allergy testing to see what your allergic to. There's a lot of people out there with non-allergic rhinitis as well, which can prsent with similar symptoms and won't respond to allergy shots.

You can also try medications first: flonase/nasonex/rhinocort, astelin/dymista, singulair, sinus rinses etc. which may control your symptoms without having to do the allergy shots over several years.

Also depending on what your allergic to, there's a few grass ones that are sublingual (in the mouth). Sublingual is very popular in europe, but a lot of difficulty in getting it FDA approved in the US for various reasons.
