Oh yeah, like slow said the things that had to break our way for that to happen was pretty insane. Seriously show me one draftnik that had John Ross in their top 10 or even 3 WRs going that high.
I do however wonder if our interest in Mahomes was completely genuine, it was just so public and not very SP like. No one will believe your smoke screens if you come out the next day and say no we weren't really that big on him after all. But maybe I'm giving them too much credit.

I saw more mocks with zero WRs and QBs in the top ten than mocks with one of either.
To have 5 of those go, and 2 HBs was insane and a blessing.
And the Mahomes love was 100% legit. They personally worked him out iirc, and Payton did the same with Kamara.
Brees told Payton he's only going to play for about 3 more years. We are DEFINITELY trying to find the next guy, and they believed Mahomes, with 2-3 years behind Brees, was going to be really great.
